Places to visit on our Italy tours from Dubai and the UAE
From rugged mountains to azure lakes, lush olive groves and cobblestoned cities, there are so many places to visit when on a trip from Italy to Dubai!
1. Rome
Italy’s capital is home to many of the country’s most iconic attractions – from the Trevi Fountain to the Colosseum and Pantheon, be prepared to learn all about the country’s history on your Italian trip package.
Tick another country off the list as you cross over to Vatican City for the day, and book onto a street food tour, where you can sample local delicacies such as cacio e pepe (fresh egg tonnarelli tossed with lashings of pecorino and black pepper), and maritozzi, which are sweet buns filled with cream, nuts, and raisins.
2. Venice
Often referred to as the ‘floating city’, a visit to Venice is a must on a trip from Italy to Dubai. Whether it’s your first or fiftieth time here, you absolutely have to enjoy a gondola ride down the winding canals, but don’t forget that there’s so much more to this city. Start in St. Mark’s Square and admire the Byzantine art in the basilica, before taking an iconic photo of the Bridge of Sighs, and enjoy a coffee and biscotti at Caffe Florian, which is the oldest café in the country.
3. Milan
Known for its flagship designer stores, opulent gallerias, and achingly cool fashion; Milan is a must-visit for any fashionista! Shop ‘til you drop at the iconic fashion houses of Prada, Dolce and Gabbana, Gucci, and Versace, before enjoying a well-earned rest at the elegant cafes that line the streets. And, if you want to get away from city life, then Lake Como is just an hour away by train, with picturesque Bellagio and Varena offering jaw-dropping views of the Alps.
4. Pisa and Florence
Just 90 minutes away from each other, if you’re booking one of our Italy package tours, you absolutely have to see both Pisa and Florence! Pisa is known for its iconic leaning tower, but you should also leave some time aside to visit the baptistry, which is the largest in Italy, or book to see an opera at the Teatro Verdi.
Then, in Florence, you can see some of Michelangelo’s most famous work, including David at the Galleria dell’Accademia; before enjoying a relaxing afternoon at the Boboli Gardens, where you can explore sculptures and fountains hidden away amongst the symmetrical gardens.
